• o What kinds of writing do you do in your field/job? Mr. Hubler had to do computer and electrical architecture. He also had to do long network system papers which in detail explain the schematics of the network he was setting up.

  • o Please tell me about the kind of writing you do on an average day? He says he has to write professional emails and keep in contact with many people on daily basis because of the position his job places him. He is a network administrator and he has to direct many people to make sure that things are constantly moving smoothly.

  • o For what purposes do you write? He writes to make sure that things flow smoothly and that everyone is on the same page with the tasks. He also writes with the purpose to create the most effective network as possible.

  • o For what audiences do you write? He writes to his coworkers, and the audience of the company.


  • o What is it that you admire about this article? He said that when he was a growing up and started getting interested in the network administration field that he would read these articles on this site and it broke it down into layman’s terms that was easier for him to follow. It took away a lot of the technological babble and actually taught him and gave him a solid foundation.

  • o What do you get out of the writing you do? He says that he looks back and sees how he is progressing in his field. He notices that changes and advances in technology that he thought were never possible. He gave the example that video streaming would of never been thought to be possible, yet 10 years later we take it for granted. Where we used to use copper wires and think there was no alternative, fiberoptics have taken over very quickly in the technology field.
